Task
I am one of the founders of Rollbuch. A brand I developed with Paul Lichtenegger 10 years ago. For this we collaborate with international artists and illustrators to publish art editions or children books. I learned about building a brand from scratch and i am in charge of the overall communication on social media as well as with the artists. We also participated in countless book fairs such as Museum der Arbeit, Museum Altona, Miss Read, Blickfang Deichtorhallen and Arte Padova.

Analog scrolling
The Rollbuch is an object roughly the size of a traditional book. Inside, a long strip of paper is wound around two spools and can be moved forward and backward using two small cranks. As the strip moves, the printed content passes continuously before the viewer without the need to turn pages and without interruptions.
The movement of the paper and its seemingly endless format create a reading experience unlike that of conventional books or scrolls. There are horizontal and vertical formats, purely textual editions where only a few lines appear at a time, and even animation techniques that introduce moving images.
These subtle aesthetic effects form part of an ongoing exploration, as we continually refine the Rollbuch and its unique visual and narrative possibilities.
